Flashlight Fun

Wichita has had some decent weather recently, which lends it’s self to some much needed outdoor play for the kids.  Tuesday got up to around 70 and even though the wind made sure the inflatable bounce house wasn’t coming out, the guys got in some dirty backyard fun. 

As the day wound down, the temperature stayed nice, and we found ourselves outside looking for a new McDonald’s toy that got left behind, in the dark.  So out came the flashlight, and playtime was extended into the early evening hours. 

The boys love shining the light on different things, and then alerting us to the possible dangers that lurk in the tree, below the picnic table, or on the other side of the fence.  All their favorite “spooky” books come alive as they creep around in the backyard, whispering, and giggling.

This scene made me wish for spring to arrive, so nights like this can be more frequent.
